textmoa is the text part of moatool (moatool.app), a family of free browser tools. It is built and maintained by one independent developer, not a company. It started as a word counter and gathered small tools one at a time: a password generator, QR codes, a JSON formatter, text diff, an age calculator and lottery number pickers.
Why nothing you type is sent
What people paste into a text tool is often more sensitive than it looks: a cover letter before it is submitted, contract wording, an API response with access tokens, a password that was just generated. Counting words should not require sending any of that to a server, so every textmoa tool works entirely inside your browser. Passwords come from the browser’s built-in cryptographically secure random generator. Nothing you type is stored; reload the page and it is gone.
How it stays free
With no server processing input, fixed costs are tiny, so the tools stay free with no sign-up or quotas. Running costs are covered by ads, and a paid Pro option removes them for people who prefer that. Ads have nothing to do with what you type.
What the pages say plainly
The lottery pickers are random numbers for fun: every combination has exactly the same odds, and the pages say no generator can improve them. The QR codes are static, with no redirect server in between, so they never expire and have no scan limit, but the link inside cannot be changed later. Guides are in the blog (in Korean).
