QR Code Generator
Type a URL or any text — get your QR code instantly. No watermark.
0 B uploaded — nothing you enter has been sent anywhere?
Other tools send what you type to a server and process it there. Even when they promise to erase it afterwards, your text sits on someone else’s machine in the meantime. Here there is no sending step at all. The more sensitive the content — passwords, contract wording, private notes — the more that difference matters. See how to verify it →
Turn a link or a short notice into a QR code that still scans after printing
A shop’s Instagram link, payment instructions or an event sign-up page is easiest to share as a QR code people open with their phone camera. This tool turns a URL or any text into a black-and-white QR code and saves it as a PNG with a white margin already added. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
A closer look
A QR code stores your content byte by byte in a grid of black and white squares called modules. The more you put in, the more modules it needs, from 21 × 21 for the smallest code up to 177 × 177 for the largest, and a denser grid is harder to read when printed small. This tool always uses error-correction level M, which lets a scanner recover the content even if roughly 15% of the code is dirty or covered. At that level one code holds at most 2,331 bytes; plain English letters take one byte each, while accented letters take two.
The code contains your content itself. Paid “dynamic QR” services store a short link to their own server and forward visitors from there, so the code can stop working when the subscription ends. Here there is no server in between, which means no expiry and no scan limit, but also no way to change the destination once it is printed. The on-screen preview is scaled down to at most 280 px, while the saved PNG keeps the size you chose and adds a white border 8% of that width on every side: 256 px becomes a 296 px file, 512 px becomes 594 px and 1024 px becomes 1188 px.
How to use it
- Type an address or text in Content (URL or text). Press Shift+Enter for a new line; a plain Enter generates the code straight away.
- Choose 256px, 512px or 1024px (print) under Size. The default is 512px.
- Press Generate QR code. The code appears below with the message “Done! Scan it with your phone camera to test.”
- Scan it with a real phone, then press Save PNG to download a file named qrcode.png.

Common snags
Tip A code that scans from the screen can still fail when printed small, so before a print run, print one copy at the real size and scan it with a phone.
QR code FAQ
Does the QR code expire?
No. The content is encoded into the QR code itself, so it works forever with no scan limits. (Unlike paid "dynamic QR" services, there is no redirect server in between.)
Can I print it?
Yes. Generate at 1024px for business cards, posters and stickers. The standard quiet-zone margin is added automatically when saving.
Is my content uploaded?
No. The QR code is generated inside your browser and your content is never sent anywhere.
Can I make a Wi-Fi QR code?
There is no dedicated Wi-Fi form. Instead, type the network details into the content box in this format: WIFI:T:WPA;S:NetworkName;P:Password;;. Most phone cameras then offer to join that network when they scan it. If the name or password contains ; , : or \, put a \ in front of that character.
